To the negotiating teams: Thank you for all your efforts! I’ll be supporting the decision you’ve recommended.
Thanks for your efforts in the negotiations, I will be voting with the Union
Nothing less than a consolidated pay rise or me, and not a one off bung
Summary of Customer Solutions Mgt Briefing
Attended by Gary Franklin, David Harrison, Simon Warr
Re. NI increase: NATS would not pass this cost onto customers so if staff don’t pay then cost savings need to be found.
It was implied Unions requested NATS include element related to NI Increase be included in pay offer.
Stated since PPP staff have received £56b, shareholders only £40m (????)
DH stated if pay were to increase (I.e. Be consolidated) we “might need redundancies”
Impressions: very slick and credible. Message that NATS has no money to fund pay rise was strong. Staff were very quiet. Consolidation mentioned but reply was we can’t afford it without changes to ts & cs which will happen next year.
Kathy, thanks for the posting.
Management will be slick and very credible.
However what they are doing can be likened to describing a coin as viewed through a prism.
The coin has two sides but they are only describing one side. Additionally the prism through which they are looking is coloured with “staff are overpaid”.
We will be arranging a series of briefings for members where we will explain the whole picture.
Regards
